The southwest of Dorset is characterized by amazing landscape and wild coastline. Among the most popular beaches are the long Durdle Door, famous for its picturesque rocky arch, and the pebbly bay of Man O’War Beach. It has been recognized by the Marine Conservation Society for its water quality and is popular for fishing, snorkelling and diving. Nearby there is a cottage village, parking and restaurants, and a stone staircase leads to the shore.
