The jewel of the Atlantic confidently holds the brand of European ecotourism. The coast is famous for its outlandish corners, natural pools of Porto Moniz or the Baia do Seixal, surrounded by green ducks and waterfalls. Madeira is impregnable cliffs, cold Atlantic, mountain levadas, motley eucalyptus forests and the rule of severe elements. There are few beaches with classical infrastructure here, including Machico, the famous Formosa, awarded the Blue Flag, and Ribeira Brava with black sand.
