The serene arctic landscapes, mountain ranges and deserted valleys of Sandhornøya Island are loved by the artists from the SALT art project. Designers have decorated the two-kilometer long Langsanden Beach with fishing racks for cod drying in tribute to the traditional Norwegian fishery. The installations highlight the natural beauty of the endless beach. Vacationers arrange picnics on the shore and stay in campsites, which are equipped with restrooms and changing cabins.
