On the coast of the calm and cozy Bredene, there are cafes, sun lounger rentals and changing rooms. The coast is separated from the resort by a green forest belt with parks, bike paths and footpaths. In the northeast, forest plantations pass into the Paelsteenpanne Nature Reserve, which was named after the largest dune in the eastern part of the North Sea water area. Tourists observe marine animals and birds such as long-eared owls and nightingales.
