The long Blåvand beach seems to be created for windsurfing, and the gentle slope into the sea and the lack of cars attract tourists with young children to the coast. The local beach is an expanse for kids who willingly fly kites, build sand castles and frolic in the cool sea. The shore is decorated with bizarre figures of mules, which were reconstructed by the British sculptor Bill Woodrow to the delight of the residents and guests of Blaavand.
